ISA Capital do Brasil S/A ("ISA Capital") is a national holding company, incorporated as a limited liability company on April 28, 2006 and transformed into a corporation on September 19, 2006.
On January 4, 2007, it obtained, with CVM - Brazilian Securities & Exchange Commission, the registration of publicly held company and thereafter on May 27, 2010, by decision of its shareholders, ISA Capital canceled the registration becoming a privately held company.
The corporate purpose of ISA Capital includes equity interest in other companies or other enterprises, as a member or shareholder, partner in joint venture, consortium member or any other form of business collaboration.
ISA Capital since June 28, 2006, controls Companhia de Transmissão de Energia Elétrica Paulista - ISA CTEEP, a publicly held Brazilian company authorized to operate as a public utility of power transmission, holding a total of 61,274,763 shares, being 57,714,208 common shares equivalent to 89.50% of voting shares, and 3,560,555 preferred shares, thus totaling 37.20% of the total capital of ISA CTEEP.
ISA Capital is controlled by Interconexión Eléctrica S.A. E.S.P. ("ISA"), a government-controlled Colombian company, controlled by the government of Colombia, whose main activity is the operation and maintenance of power transmission network, as well as participation in activities related to the provision of power services.
